Our Facilitators

Elizabete Ludviks

Born in Riga, Latvia, Elizabete Ludviks developed her perception and love for art while growing up in a community of artists, designers and political activists. Her postsecondary studies include Jewelry Design at Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. Her signature style is sculptural yet light, pieces that strike a balance between architectural and organic, fragile and strong, geometric and yet playful. Her work is produced primarily in sterling silver and other metals with found objects, stones and currently she is experimenting with some 3D printed hand dyed components. Elizabete lives and works in Hamilton, Ontario with her two kids and a musician partner.

Ilze Godlevskis

Ilzeis a conceptual textiles artist. Creating soft sculptures, she challenges perceptions of what is art and design, and how colour and textile integrate into contemporary life. She is of Latvian origin and first generation Canadian. She completed her visual arts secondary education in Toronto, Canada, before moving to London, England where she graduated from Central Saint Martin's College of Art & Design with a degree in Fashion – Knitwear. After her experience in the London fashion industry she looked to expand her artisan knowledge and knitwear craftsmanship in Milan, Italy where she apprenticed alongside a traditional Italian knitwear master for 3 years. Milan is where she currently produces her work, creating soft-sculptures for exhibition and custom design interior pieces.

Leslie Fell

Leslie has 45+ years of experience in health, community care and philanthropy. She has a degree in Rehabilitation Medicine, a Masters Degree in Community Health, and leadership experience with senior management roles in areas of rehabilitation, community development, wellness and research. Travel abroad and connection with scholars and indigenous elders profoundly influenced her life. She then moved from Toronto to Northumberland County and created Fells Meadows, a sanctuary space which protects the land and enables people to have a place to rejuvenate in nature. She is the founder and chair of the registered Canadian charity Living Ways Foundation.
