The Work of Byron Katie Dates: TBD
In this heart-centred, sacred space we will identify and question stressful thoughts and beliefs. “The Work” is a simple yet powerful process of inquiry, inspired by Byron Katie. Our Facilitators
Leslie Fell
For over 25 years, I have used the Work of Byron Katie process. Because I wanted to deepen my understanding of this tool, I completed the intensive certification over the past decade. My former education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and a Master's in Public Health Sciences. After working as a therapist, administrator and consultant, I then learned and experienced numerous transformational processes across the world with scholars and indigenous elders. Called to foster well-being, peace, and generosity, I created Fells Meadows in 2017, a place for people to be in retreat and Living Ways Foundation, a registered Canadian charity that develops and shares practical knowledge and wisdom-based initiatives. It’s been my experience that this practice of ‘the work’ is the most effective for addressing judgments, projections, and stressful thoughts. I warmly invite you to explore this process and test it for yourself.
"Leslie Fell is a brilliant and wise facilitator of the Work of Byron Katie. She creates a loving, safe environment for curiosity and self-inquiry, and wisely tunes into the group's energy. At the retreat, we practiced identifying stressful beliefs while cultivating peace and understanding. The intimate setting at Fells Meadows was beautifully appointed, the food was nourishing, and we held compassionate space for one another. The Work offered me a tool to recognize beliefs causing suffering and let them go." - Martha Lucier
"My experience at the Byron Katie retreat at Fells Meadows was nurturing in every way. The accommodations were comfortable and charming, the food delicious, and the grounds magical. Leslie Fells is a highly skilled, warm, and compassionate facilitator who created a safe space where we could be fully present. She guided us intuitively while participating alongside us, which added to the intimacy of our learning. I highly recommend this retreat for body, mind, and soul." - Julia Hobson
"Leslie is grounded in the work of Byron Katie, and her approach is gentle, supportive, and effective. Her insight, combined with the vibrant spiritual and nurturing space of Fells Meadows, makes it an amazing space for any type of retreat." - Kim
“Leslie provides and safe, welcoming, and comfortable place. Thank you for allowing me to go deep into the work with loving supportive energy”
“When you feel that you have become stuck, the process allows you to find possible openings into new understandings.” - Linda C
