Fells Meadows A tranquil country property of over 100 acres in the heart of Northumberland County, Ontario.

Fells Meadows offers numerous trails, meditation areas and quaint buildings throughout the property enabling opportunities to immerse in nature and rejuvenate the mind, body and soul. We warmly welcome groups, families, couples and individuals for a memorable overnight getaway in the country. Our retreats and workshops which were closed because of the pandemic and restrictions are now being put in place again. Come to connect with nature!

Land Acknowledgment - This land was part of a thriving network of Anishinaabe indigenous peoples which included the Odawa, Saulteaux, Ojibwe (including Mississaugas), Potawatomi, Oji-Cree, and Algonquin peoples.  At various times it was also in inhabited by tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy who migrated north from the south side of Lake Ontario. First Nations peoples in the area were blessed by the presence of fertile soil, food rich lakes and beautiful landscapes. For millennia they lived harmoniously in connection with their environment. Fells Meadows Farms’ acknowledgment of the land is our declaration of responsibility for its preservation, and our celebration of the history and cultures of its original inhabitants.

The Fells Meadows name is derived from the moor covered hills on the Isle of Man, Scotland and northern England (the fells) and peaceful meadows.

This is a sanctuary where nature thrives and wildlife abounds. It includes:

  • A tastefully decorated 1860’s renovated six bedroom farm house
  • A 30 foot diameter yurt with pine flooring and propane stove
  • Charming cabins with sleeping lofts
  • A Chartres Meditation Labyrinth overlooking the valley
  • Trails throughout the hills, meadows, forests and wetlands

We continue to create a holistic vision focused on regeneration and well being by planting organic gardens, orchards and native vegetation which support soul-stirring retreats and fortify wildlife such as the butterflies, bees and bluebirds. You are welcome to come and experience the magic of Fells Meadows.

Leslie Fell cropped-square

About your host, Leslie Fell.

For years I wanted to create a sanctuary space which protected the land and enabled people to have a place to rejuvenate in nature, in solitude or with friends and family. I was drawn to the property for its numerous ecosystems, rolling hills, diverse wildlife and whispering trees.

More information on Leslie Fell.

Many years ago Leslie spoke to me about a vision of a place where people who traveled there would have an experience of deep spiritual contact with nature. The realization of this vision is Fells Meadows.

It is born of the indomitable warrior spirit that resides in Leslie and that made the seemingly impossible possible. When you come you will sense immediately your sanctuary place. Come.
